Hanna and Roblan Honored by Governing Magazine
In an America defined by bitter partisanship, seemingly incapable of tackling the major challenges before us, in Oregon we have carved our own path. Oregon is at the forefront of healthcare, education and public budgeting reform, and its because of bipartisan leadership from Governor John Kitzhaber (D), House Co-Speaker Bruce Hanna (R) and House Co-Speaker Arnie Roblan (D). National good government organizations have been paying attention. Today, Co-Speakers Hanna and Roblan were honored with “Public Officials of the Year” awards from Governing Magazine. Earlier this summer, Governor Kitzhaber was profiled in the magazine for his effective bipartisan leadership.
