On Tuesday the Oregon Senate passed SB 1580, a bill to transform the way Health Care is delivered to Medicaid patients. The bill is Oregon’s best hope to bring down skyrocketing costs while improving quality of care.
Oregon’s four largest business associations-Associated Oregon Industries (AOI), Oregon Business Association (OBA), the Oregon Business Council (OBC) and the Portland Business Alliance (PBA) all support the bill, a long with a host of advocates from the healthcare community and groups that look out for Medicaid beneficiaries.
The bill now moves onto the Oregon House, which is split 30/30 between Democrats and Republicans.
Business groups signed on to a floor letter in support of the bill in the Senate.
