The economic forecast was optimistic, but sobering, as Oregon business and political leaders met in Portland, Ore. for the ninth annual business summit in December to discuss the Oregon Business Plan. “This is the ninth time we have gathered together to lay the groundwork for improving the business climate in Oregon and creating jobs,” said Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) in opening remarks at the summit. “Many of you have been here in the past. For some, it may be your first time. Either way, this is the place to be — the place where leaders from every corner of the state come together to shape Oregon’s economic future.”
